My Trip to Catalina Island
We went to Catalina Island. It was lots and lots of fun. We drove down to the Catalina Express and we got on a boat that took us to Catalina. We sailed for an hour and I liked standing in the wind watching the waves. I have never been on a real island or a boat way out on the ocean before. It was very fun. When we got to the island, my cousin, Christy, met us at the dock. We rode on a tram that went all around the island. We heard about the different places and then we drove around Avalon in a golf cart. We went to see the casino, except we couldn't get in it, so we didn't see the inside.
Before that we went on a glass bottom boat. We sailed over a reef with lots of seaweed and we saw lots of different kinds of fish. My favorite fish was a little orange fish called Garibaldi. The males make nests and the females go around and they choose their nest. When they have chosen a nest, they lay a whole bunch of eggs. One female can lay over 1,000 eggs. After the female leaves, the male goes on full time guard duty. He doesn't eat, he doesn't sleep, he just guards the eggs. The female can go from one nest to another, laying a whole bunch of eggs in each nest. They can return to their favorite nest several times to lay more eggs there. When the males are guarding the eggs, they are very aggressive. If they think they are being threatened by anything they will attack. If you are snorkeling and you get attacked by a little orange fish, then that means you got a little too close to some eggs. We saw lots of other fish too.
I got lots of shells and I got a dolphin necklace. The reason we went to Catalina Island was because we were celebrating my Aunt Patty's 50th Birthday. Since Aunt Patty asked for no presents my grandma brought her an un-present. We had lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
of FUN!

My Trip to Build-a-Bear Workshop
On Wednesday we went to the Build-a-Bear workshop. It was beary fun! I like saying words like beary instead of very and beariffic instead of terrific. Here we are on our way to Build-a-Bear with my first Build-a-Bear, Vanilla Cuddles.
Here I am stuffing my new bear Fall Maple.
Here I am giving my new bear a heart, so my bear will have lots of love. That's my Grandma Ann standing next to me.
Here is Fall Maple, stuffed and ready to be fluffed.
Here I am fluffing Fall Maple. She will look beary beautiful!
And now I am dressing Fall Maple in her new outfit.

Welcome to my blog
I have never had a blog before. It sounds fun. I like a lot of other people's blogs. I like to make crafts, and I love gardening, and plants and animals. I love fairies and I believe there are fairies in my garden. Someday I hope to see them. I like to read and I like books. I like playing with my friends, writing letters to them and sending emails to them. And I LOVE making new friends.
